What makes it unique

Stone Gray (aka Chad Traxler) is a singer-songwriter who will inspire you with heartfelt lyrics and a one-man-band performance that is fun, soulful, and entertaining. The full Stone Gray accompaniment includes symphony cellist, Emma Guidry, and female vocalist, Talia Jade. Chad began songwriting in 2020, having been a guitarist for decades. During a time of heartbreak and isolation, Chad bought a black Fender Stratocaster, the guitar favored by David Gilmour, and found comfort in endless hours of playing and writing. Having discovered a passion for songwriting, Chad decided to pursue music full time in 2021. His first EP, "Lamentations," was released in 2022, followed by three singles and then his first LP, "Obsession," which debuted at #8 on the college radio charts. Obsession is an acoustic pop album that reflects Chad’s struggle to both appreciate and release his former identity. As “Obsession” was being played on radio stations nationwide, Chad experienced a period of personal growth, immersing himself in the writings of J. Krishnamurti, Alan Watts, Herman Hesse, Eckhart Tolle, and Michael Singer. These spiritual advisors inspired a profound change in Chad's relationship with music. He began to see music as a gateway to the divine, as well as a tool for healing: both himself and others. Feeling reborn, he adopted the name “Stone Gray” for his current music project. Now writing from a different perspective, Chad is working on the first Stone Gray album with a European producer who has worked with labels like Warner Music, Disney and Universal, as well as collaborated with Sacha Skarbek (Miley Cyrus, Adele, Backstreet Boys) Anders Grahn (Black Eyed Peas, Anastacia) and many more.
