About this experience
Longmont Out Loud (LOL) runs Silly Gooses, a mixed comedy open mic that meets every Sunday afternoon. Comedians sign up starting at 3:30pm, then take turns at the mic once the free show kicks off at 4:00pm. The mic now runs on new fall hours, so it fits neatly into a Sunday afternoon. It suits comics who want stage time to try out material, and anyone who wants to sit in the crowd and watch local stand-up take shape. On first Sundays, guest host spots open up, and you can ask about them by email. On third Sundays, LOL adds a free writer's workshop at 2:30pm before sign-up, a chance to work on jokes before you test them on stage. The mic happens at Pelo's Deli & Provisions, 630 Main St in Longmont. Admission is free. Show up early if you plan to perform, grab a seat if you plan to watch, and check longmontoutloud.com for details.
What makes it unique
