The Soundpost Sessions
The Soundpost Sessions is a concert series dedicated to nurturing the music community in Longmont through intimate, high-fidelity listening room shows in downtown Longmont. Founded in 2019 by Tim Gulsrud, a Longmont-based acoustics consultant, audio engineer and concert promoter, with Courtlyn Carpenter as executive director, the series runs two formats: Spotlight pairs a nationally touring artist with a local artist for a full concert, and Mixtape is a bi-monthly songwriter-in-the-round hosted by Monica Marie LaBonte. The 2026 to 2027 season, its third, brings 18 shows to Longmont Public Media from September through May.
