About this experience
Sara Swain, a Colorado-born dancer, zinester, and activist, teaches an open-level hip hop class rooted in the dance's history and artistry. She brings accessible hip hop history into the room to spotlight the women and storytellers who shaped the form, so you learn the moves and where they came from. All levels share the floor at Mi Chantli, Boulder's artist-run Art and Movement Sanctuary on 30th Street. Come for the choreography, stay for the culture.
What makes it unique
Sara Swain's open-level hip hop pairs real choreography with the history and artistry of the form, women in hip hop especially.
